Dr. Gen Ohkawa, DDS, FICOI
Dr. Gen Ohkawa obtained his DDS degree from Stony Brook University’s School of Dental Medicine where he was the recipient of the prestigious Esthetic Dentistry Award. He continued his training at the Weill Cornell Medical Center at New York Hospital of Queens. Upon completion of advanced training in dental implants and restorations he was awarded a Fellowship by the International College of Oral Implantologists (FICOI).
Dr. O’s passion has always been to provide a comfortable, friendly atmosphere where each patient is treated as family. In his free time, he enjoys jogging, going to the gym, reading and spending time with his wife and two children.

I have been a dental assistant for more than 10 years in the Hudson Valley. I received my dental assistant training through Hudson Valley Community College. I enjoy learning new techniques and advancing my knowledge through continuing education courses. As a Saugerties native, I love seeing familiar faces in and out of the dental office. In my spare time, I love to travel, hike, and explore the beautiful Catskill Mountains.

I started my dentistry journey in endodontics before enrolling in a Dental Assistant Training program in Newburgh. I joined Dr. Ohkawa’s team in January 2021 and I love learning the procedures when not at work. My husband and I enjoy playing music, hiking, and general outdoor fun. The best part about my job is meeting the new patients and helping them.
